Booking your Arctic adventure with us is easy and secure. Here's how it works:
💡 Tip: Book early! Tours fill up quickly, especially during peak aurora season (December-February).
We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair and flexible:
How to cancel: Cancellations and refunds are handled through our booking system (Bokun) and its payment provider — use the link in your Bokun booking confirmation, or message us on WhatsApp or email at least 24 hours before your tour. Refund timing depends on the payment provider and your bank. The exact policy shown at checkout applies.
The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) are one of nature's most spectacular phenomena – but they're also unpredictable. Here's what you should know:
⚠️ Important: Aurora sightings are never guaranteed. If the tour runs as planned but no aurora is visible, no refund is given for the lack of aurora — instead we offer a 50% discount on a future Northern Lights tour with us (subject to availability). This is an aurora hunting experience – the journey through the Arctic night is part of the adventure!
Our local guides may drive to more than one location during the evening, when road and weather conditions allow, to improve the chances of a clear sky.
Your safety is our top priority. Here's how we handle challenging Arctic weather:
We'll contact you if weather conditions require cancellation, typically a few hours before the scheduled tour time.
To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience:
Liability: Aurora Dreams AB is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during tours, except where required by Swedish law. We recommend travel insurance for all guests.
Every tour is unique because we adapt to conditions in real-time:
This flexibility is what makes our tours special – we're not stuck to a fixed route, we go where the aurora takes us!
If your accommodation isn't listed during checkout, please message your guide the day before the tour to arrange pickup. Note: We only offer pickup within Kiruna main city – we cannot pick up from locations outside the city center.
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed. If no aurora is visible during your tour, we offer a 50% discount on your next tour with us (subject to availability). Just speak to your guide to arrange this.
Cancellations are handled through our booking system (Bokun) and its payment provider — use the link in your Bokun booking confirmation, or send us a WhatsApp message or email at least 24 hours before your tour. Cancellations made 24+ hours before the tour receive a full refund; refund timing depends on the payment provider and your bank. The terms shown at checkout apply.
Dress warmly in layers! We recommend thermal underwear, a fleece mid-layer, a warm winter jacket, hat, gloves, scarf, and warm waterproof boots. Temperatures can drop to -30°C. Winter clothing is not provided or rented — please bring your own warm gear.
The tour is approximately 3-4 hours, including pickup and drop-off at your hotel in Kiruna.
Yes! We provide warm drinks (hot chocolate, coffee, tea) and light snacks during the tour. Weather permitting, we also offer a campfire experience – however, if conditions don't allow it (strong winds, etc.), the campfire may not happen as the main focus of the tour is aurora viewing.
On the Northern Lights tour, children aged 6–12 are welcome at a child rate (adults are 13+). Children under 6 are not bookable online for this tour — please contact us before booking, as the tour can be cold, late (usually 8 PM - midnight), and weather-dependent, and we'll advise whether it suits your child. The ice fishing and Abisko tours are suitable for children aged 6+ (child rate 6–12, adults 13+).
Payments are handled through our booking system (Bokun) and its secure payment provider. Major credit and debit cards are accepted; the available payment methods are shown at checkout.
If the Northern Lights appear, our guide gives basic phone photo help when possible, and phone photos may be taken and sent to guests after the tour. This is not a professional photography tour, and photos are not guaranteed.
Our guide speaks Swedish and Russian fluently and can communicate in practical English during the tour.
The Northern Lights tour takes a maximum of 16 guests per night, in 2 heated vans. The Abisko day tour takes a maximum of 12 guests and the ice fishing tour a maximum of 8.
